TEAMelbourne are bringing together their four member clubs’
coaches and leading horse trainer, Mark Kavanagh for an insightful
panel breakfast event on Thursday 3rd April.
The panellists will each speak about their experiences in their
respective sports and discuss the an array of topical sport
happenings.
In his first year of coaching the Melbourne Football Club,
Dean Bailey faces the challenge of leading the club into a
new era. His experience with Port Adelaide has included five final
series, a Premiership and two preliminary finals.
Craig Bellamy is regarded as one of the best coaches in
the NRL. Since his debut season with the Storm in 2003, he has led
the team to finals each year, winning the Premiership in
2007. He has also been appointed NSW State-of-Origin coach
for 2008.
After taking over the coaching reigns from legend Lindsay Gaze,
Al Westover has led the Melbourne Tigers to two NBL
Championships (2005/06 & 2007/08), one runners-up (2006/07),
and earned himself NBL Coach of the Year (2005/06).
Julie Hoornweg is leading the newly formed and re-branded
Melbourne Vixens for the Trans-Tasman Netball Championship
beginning this month. She was previously coach of the Melbourne
Phoenix who have now combined with the Melbourne Kestrels to form
the Vixens.
Successful horse racing trainer Mark Kavanagh was
recentlynamed Australia's leading Group 1 winning trainer. The Mark
Kavanagh Racing Club in Flemington includes Group 1 winners
Maldivian, Divine Madonna and Devil Moon.
