Think you’ve got star power? To celebrate the availability of Metlink’s celebrity Metcards, you have the chance to put your name up amongst the stars and join the ten Melbourne celebrities who now call themselves ‘Metcard Designer’.

Metlink is calling on would-be Metcard artists to create a design that reflects TEAMelbourne, our city’s exciting new sporting alliance representing Melbourne Tigers, Melbourne Demons, Melbourne Racing Club, Netball Victoria and Rugby League Premiers Melbourne Storm.

“Metlink has partnered with TEAMelbourne because public transport is a better way to travel to Melbourne’s fantastic sporting events,” said Metlink CEO, Bernie Carolan.

“To join well-known Melbourne personalities such as Kate Ceberano and Ron Barassi who have each created a Metcard, let your creativity flow and design your own TEAMelbourne Metcard for the chance to win big!” he added.

The most creative design as judged by Metlink will be made into an actual Metcard and will be available for purchase from Metlink’s online store and then from Metcard retail agents across Melbourne later in the year.

“Having your design seen by literally thousands of public transport users is a money-can’t-buy prize,” said Mr Carolan. “The winner will also receive a Yearly Zone 1+2 Metcard.”

Customers can pick up Kate Ceberano, take home Livinia Nixon or have Ron Barassi in their pocket (their Metcard designs that is) by buying their Metcards online at metlinkmelbourne.com.au or from retail outlets from November 4.
